Your coverage of the visit to Brighton of Queen and Prince Phillip was superb. At the New Madeira Hotel we put up notices to advise guests of where to go on the day to see the royal couple.
Guests returned with amazing photos from outside the Theatre Royal Brighton and the event made a visit by a Japanese couple to our hotel the highlight of their visit to the UK.
When the royal car drove past our hotel in the early afternoon there was great excitement. We bought a large number of copies of the special edition of The Argus and put them in our reception for guests to take home as a memory of the great day - they were taken very quickly.
