A FOUR-vehicle crash which left a Land Rover on its roof caused rush-hour chaos this morning.
The incident happened on the A27 Arundel Road at Westhampnett, near Chichester, when two cars travelling east crashed before crossing the central reservation and collided with a truck and a people-carrier travelling the other way.
Emergency services were called at 6.45am to the dual carriageway just 500m west of the junction with the A285 Stane Street.
The Land Rover, driven by a 61-year-old man from Godalming, Surrey, rolled onto its roof.
A BMW which collided with the Land Rover was driven by a 36-year-old man from Chichester, the lorry – a Mercedes-Benz tipper - by a 55-year-old man from Billingshurst and the Citroen Xsara people carrier by a 53-year-old man from Worthing.
There were no injuries but the incident caused significant traffic delays in the area.
