Irish music boy band All Jigged Out have been impressing people in all the right places.

It might not be Rolling Stone but Irish Dancing Magazine gave the cherubic five-piece five stars, while Folk News described the boys as "hot talent".

According to the hype, All Jigged Out is folk music of the future - one for the iPod generation.

Combining young talent with genrebusting arrangements, the Celtic boy band say they represent the very best of the nu-folk movement.

Billed as an exhilarating mix of original and traditional tunes, fused with gutsy grooves and cinematic soundscapes, this could be a novel way to spend St Patrick's Night.

Band members include keyboardist Tom Phelan, who has helped out on tracks by Beyonce and Alicia Keys.

Then there's violinist Ben Lee, who graduated from Royal College of Music in 2003 and has been voted Daily Telegraph Young Jazz Composer.

He's played in The Smiths' musical Some Girls are Bigger Than Others and will be providing backing strings for McFly on their UK tour this autumn.

Bass player Dan Dotor is a member of jazz quintet Sharktapus and has toured the country with world music band Boka Halat.

Flutist Philippe Barnes has played with the Mike McGoldrick Trio and just completed a sold-out tour of Faust (a new soundtrack to the 1926 silent film) and Ollie Boorman plays drums.
