A superstar DJ will be among the runners putting their balls on the line in a charity fundraising run with a difference.
The Brighton Big Balls Beach Run returns next month and Hove-based DJ Norman Cook will again join competitors for the charity event.
Competitors have to carry two large red beach balls along the 3km course from Hove Lagoon to Mrs Bumbles Cafe by the King Alfred Leisure Centre and back again.
As well as coping with the city’s famous pebbly beach and groynes, participants will face a number of opponents trying to disrupt their route and dislodge their balls with oars, wet sponges and pugil sticks.
The event on Sunday, May 10, will see participants raise money for testicular, penile and prostate cancer research.
