Police are investigating
A 19-YEAR-OLD girl is seriously ill in hospital after her car left the road and hit a tree.
She was driving a blue Citroen C1 alone travelling east on the B2116 Shermanbury Road near Partridge Green when the accident occurred at about 10pm.
Three crews of firefighters from Partridge Green, Henfield and Worthing attended the scene.
She was taken to the Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton with serious injuries.
Police are appealing for witnesses to call 101 or email collision.appeal@sussex.pnn.police.uk quoting Operation Halton.
