An animal loving nine-year-old ran a race and donated the money she raised to a wildlife charity.
Freya Bargery, of Hove, ran the Mini Mile the day before the Brighton Marathon and handed £75 of sponsorship money to Roger’s Wildlife Rescue in Woodingdean.
The charity is run by Roger and Fleur Musselle and as a thank you treat invited Freya to meet one of seven fox cubs they were caring for and showed her how the money would be used to feed them.
Mr Musselle said: “It is great that Freya chose us as rescuing wildlife is expensive.”
