A259 near Chichester blocked after three car crash
A ROAD was blocked after a four car crash.
The A259 Marsh Lane in Merston, Chichester, was blocked and there were queues of traffic in both directions at the junction because of the accident.
Fuel spilled onto the road, also causing problems.
A police spokesman said: “Just before 2.50pm four vehicles were reported to have been involved in a collision on the A259 Chichester Road at Colworth between Bognor and Chichester. The A259 was closed in both directions whilst emergency services attended the scene.
“By 4.45pm the road was being re-opened.
“It understood some people have been taken to hospital to be treated with what are currently assessed as minor injuries but no further information is available at present.”
