School pupils have taken an educational journey under the sea in a virtual submarine.
Year 7 children from St Mary's Hall in Eastern Road, Brighton, were some of the first people to experience the £250,000 submarine adventure at Brighton's Sea Life Centre in Marine Parade on Thursday.
The display uses audio visual technology to create a 360 degree experience in which visitors will feel as if they are being submerged within a grand Victorian submarine.
The pupils were taken on an adventure through coral reefs, vast shoals of fish and down into the mysterious depths of the world's oceans.
As the world's oldest operating aquarium, Brighton Sea Life still retains much of its original features and the Victorian theme of the submarine fits comfortably alongside the building's ornate Victorian architecture.
