Noreen Fripp writes: "We, the Tin School and Friends, are holding a reunion of the Old Tin School of Peacehaven. It is being held on Tuesday, April 24 and is our 11th reunion, now embracing friends as well.
"The first school in Peacheaven was situated at the eastern end of Arundel Road and comprised two buildings clad externally in corrugated iron, hence it was always known as the Tin School.
"The school, which was built in the early- Twenties, had some 800 pupils over the years and later moved to new premises at Telscombe Cliffs during the mid-Thirties.
There were two headmasters, firstly a Mr Blackman and then a Mr Herbert Chinn.
"Malcolm Troak, our chairman, has written several books on old Peacheaven and Telscombe, including one on the Tin School.
"Anyone who would like more information about the reunion or who knows others who may be interesded, please contact me, the secretary, on 01273 582277."
