The brave yet tragic story of Keiton Knight and his family, who worked so hard to find a bone marrow match, will hopefully encourage many more in this city to give blood regularly and join the bone marrow register.
It's so easy to give blood and joining the bone marrow register only takes an extra form and blood sample while you donate blood.
I find donating blood is one of the most satisfying and easiest things to do for a half-hour break from the manic pace of daily life.
Why not come to the next session at Hove Town Hall today? You can book an appointment on 0845 7711711 or visit www.blood.co.uk and ask about joining the bone marrow register at the same time.
You can make a real difference. Maybe I will see you there?
