It is a shame it is still rare to see four women comics in one evening. Maybe some misguided promoters think women aren't funny.
They should come along to this monthly gay comedy night.
It was brilliantly compered by Brighton's Zoe Lyons (pictured), whose witty commentary on life, moving home, the council, holidays and rubbish collections had the whole room guffawing over their lager.
Zoe, who described her appearance as "a cross between Mr Bean and Myra Hindley", is a true star of the circuit and can banter with the audience without ever crossing into cruelty. She was followed by Jade the Folk Singer, who sent up angst-ridden guitarists with ballads about catching her boyfriend in bed with her mum and farting loudly in the library.
More talent was piled into the mix with dry cynicism from Liz Carr and musings from token man Morgan Jones and Ozzie headliner Kitty Flanagan.
A superb show.
