A project which helps young people in East Sussex has won a national accolade.
The Xtrax young people's centre in Hastings was named as one of the winners of the Youth Challenge, Actions Speak Louder contest.
The competition, run by the Department for Education and Skills, aims to celebrate the achievements of 13 to 19 year olds in developing youth projects in local communities.
Xtrax will receive more than £40,000 to extend the project and develop the centre.
Xtrax manager Andrew Batsford said: "We are really thrilled and really honoured to have been chosen.
"We're now looking forward to spending this money on the centre and making it look a million dollars."
