Volunteers have been invited to help with an annual beach and riverbank clear-up.
The South Downs Joint Committee has asked for help carrying out their work at Cuckmere Haven near Seaford on Sunday, April 15, from 10am to 12noon.
Countryside ranger Lou Parkinson said: "Marine litter is a huge problem, particularly at this time of year after the surge of the spring tides. Along with the usual litter that gets washed up, we have had a lot of wood that came off a sinking ship."
Anyone interested in helping should call 01323 870280 for more details or email sevensisters@southdowns-aonb.gov.uk.
