Five people have been arrested for possessing suspected Class A drugs in three days.

Eastbourne police officers swooped on a home in Manton Court, in the town's Rotunda Road on Monday night (April 2) and found £1,500 worth of suspected drugs.

A man and woman were arrested at the scene.

Meanwhile plain clothes police stopped and searched three people in Whitley Road on Friday night (March 30) and found six wraps of what was believed to be drugs.

All three people were arrested.

Inspector Tony Wakefield of Eastbourne police said: "The drugs that were seized shows that we are targeting the right people at the right time, and people involved in drug supply should worry that it's going to be them next."
