I write with reference to your feature on Brighton and Hove's swimming pools (The Argus, March 26), in which it was stated that Black Rock swimming pool had been "closed ... to build the marina".
A photo caption said the pool "was lost under the marina". The marina was, of course, reclaimed from the sea.
The pool stood just west of the complex, near the present access road. Your newspaper has extensively reported the major plans for this site.
The marina was formally opened to the public by the Queen in 1979 and the pool, with no links to that complex, had closed the previous year.
