Police have swung into action after thieves stole equipment and clothes worth £20,000 from a golf club. more than At around midnight on Tuesday Rustington golf club was broken into by four offenders who entered the golf shop.
Among the equipment taken were Calloway and TaylorMade products.
A white long wheel base van and a dark-coloured estate type vehicle were driven from the scene just after midnight.
Trevor Cox, the local crime prevention officer, is asking that should any golfers or members of the public be offered any similar golf clubs or clothing over the holiday period at markets or in pubs to call Sussex Police on 0845 6070999.
