A West End musical evening will be held to raise funds for charity.

The event, called 'An Evening in the West End', will be held at Shoreham Airport on April 22 between 7.30pm and 10.30pm.

Organisers are desperately seeking a celebrity or radio presenter to volunteer to compere the evening.

It will feature songs from a range of performers and musicals and all the money raised will to towards raising funds for sufferers of Battens Disease.

Organiser Jean Gilbert said: "We really need to find a celebrity or radio presenter to come forward to help us and compere the evening.

"Battens Disease has a devastating affect on families, and we hope this event will raise vital funds.

"A lot of hard work, time and effort has gone into making this a great evening and the whole event is being run on the kind generosity and support of all concerned. Tickets are available now and we are urging people to come along and support us."

As well as the music, there will be a grand raffle. All the cash raised will go towards the Battens Disease Family Association (BDFA) in order to raise an awareness and funds for treatment.

Tickets are priced at £10 and concessions £8 and are available by calling 01273 452300. For more information visit www.shorehamairport.co.uk.
