The number of people travelling through Gatwick was up again last month. It handled 2.6 million passengers compared with 2.4 million in March 2006.
The total number of flights in and out of the airport reached 19,977, which was up 0.3 per cent on the previous March. The amount of tonnage being handled was down 19.8 per cent.
