An exciting array of spring colour and events is in store at picturesque Borde Hill Garden, Haywards Heath.

The award-winning garden in Balcombe Road, designated by English Heritage and dating back to the late 1800s, will be again mixing natural with artistic beauty through its two-day spring plant fair and in May, with its sculptural art in the garden display.

The plant fair on Saturday, April 14, and Sunday, April 15, will provide an explosion of colour with rhododendrons, magnolias and camellias.

Nurseries will be selling a wide selection of plants and the RHS South East Rhododendron and Magnolia Group show, in conjunction with an international camellia show, will display 300 specimens entered by the public alongside some famous gardens in more than 50 categories, competing for awards.

The fair will be open both days from 10am to 5pm with the show marquee opening at 11.30am on Saturday.

Tickets £6.50, concessions £5.50, children £3.50, free for season ticket holders.

Borde Hill will also be running a children's Easter crossword trail competition from Sunday, April 1, to Friday, April 13. Details on 01444 450326. Website: www.bordehill.co.uk
