IT is always interesting to see an Argus letter from John Stanway in The Argus.
His latest contribution suggests a solution to the Brighton Line problems is to anchor redundant aircraft carriers off shore and turn them into helicopter pads from whence commuters and others may enjoy a trouble-free journey to London by air.
Fantastic idea! Just imagine a flotilla of boats conveying passengers from the beach, out to sea, just in time to catch the 7.29am helicopter to town, with breakfast on board too!
This idea should be taken seriously and examined closely.
Why not abolish the rail network completely and reduce the number of letters to The Argus complaining about the inadequacies of rail travel.
Yours (with tongue in cheek)?
