An award-winning village fair is promising fun for all the family next month.

The fabulous Fulking Fair returns to the village, north of Brighton, on Sunday July 26 from noon to 5pm.

This year’s fair features a host of live music, a dog show, BBQ, a bar run by the local Shepherd and Dog pub, kids entertainment, ferret racing, animal shows and more.

Last year the fair was named ‘community event of the year’ at The Argus Community Stars Awards.

It attracts hundreds of revellers each year, with part of the event's proceeds going towards community initiatives and developments.

Bob Rowland, one of the fair organisers, said: “All profits from the fair go towards village needs such as tree work in the North Town Field, toys for the toddlers, carol books for the choir and roof work on the village hall.

“We hope to see lots of people returning to the fair this year for a day of fun.”

This year’s fair will be held at Downside Meadow.
