TEENAGERS clambered to the top of a scaffolding-clad church and took celebratory selfies.
Worried onlookers called the police when they saw the three boys climb to the top of St Peter’s Church in York Place, Brighton, at about 2pm yesterday.
An anonymous passerby said: “They were up there for about 20 minutes and seemed to be jumping around.
“It was quite worrying.”
Officers quickly arrived, rushed to the top of the building and brought the teenagers down safely.
A police spokesman said: “We were called at 2.10pm. The teenagers were taking pictures to prove they got to the top. They were given strong words of advice and were sent on their way.”
