A TALENT show reject who was buzzed off the Britain’s Got Talent stage in record time will finally get his chance in the limelight.

Vince Venus, the alter-ego of Juice Radio and Latest TV presenter Guy Lloyd, performed for just two seconds on the last series of ITV’s hit programme before being shown the door.

His quick exit made national headlines and the short but sweet video of his rendition of Queen's I Want to Break Free went viral.

But Vince Venus now has a chance to prove himself again – this time on the main stage at Brighton Pride on Saturday.

The catsuit-clad singer said: “It’s a chance to redeem myself. The nation didn’t get to see my full talent last time and it’s an opportunity to show the public what I’m about and to perform Queen's song in full.”

Quizzed on whether he would be in safer territory away from the Britain’s Got Talent judges, he said: “You’d like to think the guys at Pride will be nicer than the judges on the show – I’d hope so anyway – but they’ve mentioned there might still be a buzzer so I’ll really have to nail it.”

His desire to perform on Pride’s main stage was sparked following an interview with The Argus in May, shortly after his Britain’s Got Talent appearance.

He revealed he was initially offered work at cabaret nights and other national gigs following the TV show. But he admitted he had his eyes set on Pride.

Now, in just a few days time, he will share the bill with stars like The Human League, Foxes and Fatboy Slim.

He said: “We had a campaign on the radio and it went from there really. The support has been great and I’m really looking forward to sharing the bill with the likes of The Human League and letting loose.”
