Eight Liberal Democrat seats fell to the Conservatives as the party consolidated its control of Horsham District Council.

The party has 31 of the 44 seats now. Its comfortable majority of 18 compares with a margin of just two before the election.

The Lib Dems are left with 11 seats while two independents held on, one in Henfield and the other in Steyning.
