The Dizzy Gillespie All-Star Big Band formed in 1998 to perform the jazz great's big-band repertoire.
The 18-piece band features former Gillespie alumni, such as master trombonist Slide Hampton, veteran alto sax giant James Moody and bassist John Lee alongside contemporary jazz stars such as Tomoko Ohno on piano.
With classic arrangements of vintage Dizzy, together with new slants on the Gillespie songbook, this all-star orchestra celebrates the late, great master with their own glorious, freewheeling pizzazz.
