A DUMPER truck was stolen from a secure building site in what is thought to be an organised job.
Police are investigating the theft of the Thwaites three-ton swivel dumper truck in Queensway, Horsham.
Thwaites is a dumper manufacturer based in Warwickshire.
The £20,000 vehicle was stolen between 4.30pm on Tuesday and 6.30am the following day.
It is thought the truck was driven a short distance along Queensway before turning right into Brighton Road. It is probable it was then placed on a low-loader or similar vehicle before being driven away from the scene.
PC Oliver Pullen, of the Horsham Neighbourhood Response Team, said: "We are appealing for anyone who may have seen the stolen vehicle or anything suspicious in the vicinity of the theft to come forward."
