In April, I fell over a water tap cover in Rutland Road.

I finished up with a black eye and my right thumb has been painful ever since. I also hurt my chest and my right knee.

A few days later I wrote a letter to Southern Water explaining all this. I also sent a photo of the offending tap and its position and a photo of my black eye.

All I wanted was the cover to be repaired so nobody else would have the same difficulty. By last week I had no reply so I phoned the Worthing office, to be told all letters took five months to receive a reply.

I was dumbfounded. As I pay my water rate on a monthly basis, I feel like delaying my payments by five months.
