In reply to Barry Kingston (Letters, May 5) I wish to point out to him that there is the service 40X, operated by Countryliner, which provides him admirably with the route he requires.
All the information is advertised in the very helpful Bus Times, published free by Brighton and Hove Bus Company.
He reports of the "marathon" to cross the Old Steine but the company cannot be blamed for this situation.
Brighton and Hove is served with an excellent bus service at a reasonable cost.
