David Field's letter in The Argus (Letters, May 14) tends to lump together all licensed taxi drivers as being inconsiderate to pedestrians.
As a licensed taxi driver myself, I can assure him that the vast majority of us would much rather get a thanks by letting pedestrians cross than making them cross.
Mr Field then goes on to say that "tuk-tuks are dangerous for all sorts of unfounded' reasons put forward by the taxi trade".
Mr Field cannot have read The Argus very much last year.
