Three poor fishermen are caught in a storm and perish. The next day, their families walk the shore searching for their loved ones.
Thankfully, this was just one of the stories behind the Manx songs performed by Emma throughout the evening.
Vocally astounding, Emma Christian has one of the most angelic, pure and unaffected voices I have ever had the pleasure of hearing, her music so mesmerising, it would sound quite at home on the award-winning soundtracks of films such as Lord Of The Rings or Titanic.
St Bartholomew's provided a beautiful venue and fantastic acoustics for the ancient Celtic music, played by Emma on the harp and recorder, and the candlelight added to the ambience perfectly.
