The vocal talents of the English National Opera's soprano, Sarah Tynan, and mezzo Stephanie Marshall, contrast beautifully.
Taking it in turn to perform songs by Strauss, Debussy and Britten, both women were incredibly engaging, invoking the emotions in every song effortlessly.
Unfortunately, the programme seemed to be rather lengthy, and, as a result, it slightly disappointed in the entertainment stakes.
Despite this, both women's vocal ranges were impressive, and when performing together, they were at their strongest, with a touching rendition of Mother Comfort moving some of the audience members to tears.
Other highlights included Underneath the Abject Willow, Fetes Galantes and The Nurses Song.
They were ably supported by talented pianist Anna Tillbrook, who accompanied both soloists throughout the programme.
