Ofsted has inspected the seventh of Brighton and Hove's nine secondary schools.
Officials from the inspectorate have been working through the city's schools this year, using new shorter inspections to make quicker assessments.
On Wednesday and Thursday they were at Blatchington Mill School, in Nevill Avenue, Hove.
Headteacher Neil Hunter said initial feedback had been "very positive" but said he would be waiting for the final report to come through next month before making a full comment.
The school was given a "good" rating when it was last inspected in September 2002.
Patcham High, Falmer High, Dorothy Stringer, Hove Park and Varndean schools have all been inspected this academic year. Portslade Community College was visited by Ofsted in the previous year.
Longhill High School in Falmer Road, Rottingdean, and Cardinal Newman Catholic School in The Upper Drive, Hove, are awaiting Ofsted visits.
