A man has been arrested following a fatal car crash at the weekend.
The incident happened near Uckfield in the early hours of Saturday when a pedestrian was hit by a car.
The 35-year-old local man later died from his injuries.
A 26-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and other offences and has been bailed until February 28 while investigations continue.
Police want to hear from anyone who may have seen what happened or who may have information about the car or pedestrian shortly before the collision, which happened in Cooper's Green Road shortly before 1am.
