THE management behind filthy conditions at a seafront restaurant have been sacked, the company has revealed.

Organic Moments Limited, which runs the Little Bay on Kings Road, Brighton, was fined nearly £12,000 after 14 food hygiene breaches.

The company yesterday said after the council officers made the discoveries in July this year, which earned them a zero food hygiene rating, management at the eatery were sacked.

A spokesman for the company said: “Upon discovering the extent of the issues, the management at the restaurant was immediately dismissed and replaced.

"Vast improvements were then made in the subsequent months to resolve the issues raised, and this was confirmed by Mrs Burchell-Collins, Food Safety Officer at Brighton and Hove City Council, in a letter dated September 30."

“She confirmed in this letter that all legal requirements had been completed and that “standards of cleaning were very good.”
