If silence is golden, then mime surely is money as the runaway Fringe success of 2006 returns for more suitcase-related shenanigans.

Adhering to the if-it-ain't-broke-don't-fix-it school of thought, Japanese duo Gamarjobat unleash their unique brand of physical comedy with what is sure to be a sell-out run at Komedia.

The simple set up of a travel bag filled to the brim with props and lightning-quick skits from the Mohican-coiffured twosome still manages to deliver the funnies, despite little changing from last year's show.

Dropping the Rocky-style boxing melodrama which finished off their previous outing, Gamarjobat have clearly listened to fan feedback and concentrated mostly on the audience-pleasing combination of circus skills and irreverent humour.

Aside from a problem on the opening night involving a radio mic and some serious feedback as the play actors tried to get the crowd geed up with an electric guitar-led version of Tequila, it's business as usual with juggling, silliness and punter participation high on the agenda, interspersed with a strange kind of cockerel-call mumbling stretching the interpretation of mime ever so slightly beyond the boundaries of silence.

And therein lies the problem with the new show - it doesn't really give us anything new. As hugely entertaining as Gamarjobat are, once you've seen them, you've seemingly seen it all.

That doesn't necessarily detract from their obvious skills and undeniable showmanship but it does mean anybody expecting anything new may be a little disappointed.

My advice then: if you haven't seen them before, go because they're great.

If you have, don't buy a ticket expecting more than a greatest hits compilation - been there, done that, but for the sake of nostalgia, it's still worth another play.
