A woman who died after being hit by a car on the A27 at Hammerpot on Friday evening has been named.
Anna Iles, 66, of Ashurst Way, East Preston was hit by an Audi shortly after 7pm on March 11.
Emergency services were called to the scene near the Woodman Arms but Mrs Iles was declared dead at the scene.
The driver of the Audi, a 42-year-old man from Crowborough, was uninjured.
The road was closed in both directions, but the eastbound section was re-opened shortly after midnight.
The westbound carriageway remain closed for several more hours while the collision was investigated.
