A TEENAGER has been charged with attempted murder after a man was stabbed in a city centre.
The incident happened in Regency Square, Brighton, in the early hours of Saturday, March 5.
Police were called at around 1.15am after two men were seen fighting.
The victim, a 26-year-old man from Brighton, was stabbed multiple times and taken to hospital where was in a serious but stable condition. He has since recovered and been released.
At the time a Sussex Police Detective Inspector said it was "a violent but isolated attack".
Alex Lanning, 18, of Manor Gardens, Ruislip, Middlesex, was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder on Friday (March 11) and subsequently charged with attempted murder and possession with intent to supply class-A drugs.
He appeared at Brighton Magistrates' Court yesterday and has been remanded in custody to await a further hearing date.
