The Prince of Wales launches the Brighton-to-London Eco-Car Rally today.
Charles will attend a pre-rally demonstration of the eco-cars at Hampton Court Palace ahead of the event itself tomorrow.
He will be given a chance to test-drive the vehicles, powered by hydrogen fuel cells, hydrogen internal combustion engines, hybrids and biofuels.
A number of other eco-vehicles will also be on show, including scooters, vans and rickshaws.
The Brighton-to-London rally is being staged by Revolve, a group promoting sustainable transport.
The Prince is due to arrive at Hampton Court at around 2pm.
