I am writing in response to the absurdity of the letter titled "A sad reflection" (May 30).
This man or woman, who is clearly a feline hater, thinks it is a sad reflection on society that an airgun had been used on an animal.
It is a sad reflection on society for this person to justify it in any way.
He/she mentions protecting your property from a cat. What is this small creature going to do - beat up your wife, rob you or burn your house down? Or maybe just pass through your garden as nature intended. I think they need to get things in perspective.
