I was saddened to learn of the sudden death of Neil McArthur, who managed the Brighton Alzheimer's Society.
Neil was a deeply compassionate and caring man who worked tirelessly for the good of our city. I met him first as a fellow trustee of Age Concern Brighton, Hove and Portslade, where his experience and judgement were greatly valued.
More recently, he and his colleagues at the society have been hugely supportive in helping a close family member who suffers from dementia. Neil will be greatly missed by a great many people whose lives he touched.

Green Councillor for Hanover and Elm Grove,
