A LEADING digital conference which started out in a pub has had to upsize its venue after its last conference sold in just 60 seconds.

Bi-annual free conference BrightonSEO is relocating from Brighton Dome to the larger capacity Brighton Centre.

April's event sold out its 1,700 tickets in less than a minute, with the next BrightonSEO on September 2 now set to be staged in front of a record capacity crowd of 3,500.

One of the world’s most popular conferences of its kind, BrightonSEO has evolved rapidly since its humbling beginnings from a gathering in a pub.

In addition to trending on Twitter, proving even more popular than Barrack Obama’s most recent UK visit, the conference welcomes delegates from agencies, in-house marketing teams and business owners from across Brighton & Hove, the UK and Europe, and also plays host to keynote speakers who are pioneers and leaders in their field.

Google, Channel 4, Confused.com, Hotels.com and Microsoft are amongst the hundreds of household brands which have graced the BrightonSEO Conference stage.

By more than doubling the capacity size to the Brighton Centre, those who have previously missed out on a ticket will have ma much better chance of securing a place when tickets for the September event become available on May 16.

Founder Kelvin Newman said: “The move to the Brighton Centre heralds a new chapter for the BrightonSEO Conference, its team, and its cult following, which has grown by the thousands in just a few years.

“Whilst we have been proud to call the Brighton Dome our home for the past five years, the move to the Brighton Centre doubles our capacity size meaning not only is there greater opportunity for tickets to be snapped up by those who miss out, but there’s also more space to hold our series of bespoke workshops and roundtables.”

The day before to each BrightonSEO conference, a series of bespoke workshops and roundtable discussions are always held.

At the most recent event, 12 workshops covered topics such as international SEO, copywriting best practice, digital PR for link building, and app store optimisation.
