Some years ago I worked as head commissionaire at Covent Garden.
One Saturday evening was particularly fraught - people pushing and shoving, complaining about every little thing, staff really tetchy. I felt totally unable to relax - similar to having drunk too much coffee.
After an hour of this I suddenly asked, half jokingly: "What's going on tonight - is it a full moon or something?" We found a diary and there was the little white circle against that day.
There is a noticeable effect and the police are right to bear it in mind (The Argus, June 5). There's another one on Saturday June 30 also coinciding with payday.
Maybe we should all stay indoors
