SCHOOLCHILDREN took a look behind the scenes at a new-build housing development.
Pupils from Lindfield Primary Academy learnt what it takes to put together the nearby Heathwood Park development being built by David Wilson Homes.
The housebuilder invited children along to the site to tell them about various roles in the construction industry and the different skills it takes to build new houses.
Contracts manager Cornel Heunis said: “The homes are really taking shape here and it was fitting that local schoolchildren were among the first to see the latest progress.”
Rachel Crosbie from Lindfield Primary Academy added: “The children had a fantastic time learning about how homes are built.
"Nothing beats being able to see something first-hand and I have no doubt it will help them when they return to the classroom.”
The development off Langmore Lane in Lindfield will feature a range of three- and four-bedroom homes.
