Police are investigating after a woman was racially abused in a park.
The 46-year-old woman was walking to her car through Victoria Pleasure Grounds in Uckfield when a man racially abused, insulted and intimidated her just at after 6pm on Sunday The shouting continued as she drove away.
Police were called and a 57-year old local man was arrested on suspicion of racially aggravated harassment.
After being interviewed was released on police bail until June 13.
PC Dave Brown said; "This was a most distressing experience for the woman and we want to hear from anyone else who saw what happened or saw this man shouting in the park."
