I TOO saw Ingrid Bergman at The Theatre Royal, Brighton. I am not sure of the year but I am pretty certain that the play was Captain Brassbound's Conversion by George Bernard Shaw.
Also in the cast were Kenneth Williams and, I am pretty sure, Joss Ackland.
If I am right, it seems as though the theatre buffs of Brighton go to watch the name, not the play, even though it was written by someone as famous as GBS.
