After a damp and foggy start, the good times prevailed in pulsating fashion on Sunday as Rudimental crowned the festival they curated with Saturday headliners Disclosure.

Izzy Bizu’s beautiful boon of a voice would have packed the Big Top were it not for a crash on the A27 that delayed many; because of this Stormzy’s exclamations of Wildlife’s "incredible energy" rang somewhat hollow among a crowd struggling to get itself going.

But on this Trooping The Colour weekend, her (other) majesty, Lady Leshur, unleashed her verbal artillery on an appreciative mosh pit while outside James Bay on the mainstage brought a bit of winsome calm.

Bastille’s Icarus would have had navigational difficulties in these conditions but Pompeii proved a heartwarmer.

After a day of grey skies and the ever-present fear that further downpours would see us all ankle-deep in the run-off from thousands of spray tans, Rudimental burst through in a blaze of glorious musical technicolour and delivered the goods.

Ann Marie joined them to end with a barnstorming rendition of Love Ain’t Just A Word.

Wild Life is a well-priced pocket-money festival for teenagers and does what it says on the tin.
