A WOMAN was seriously injured after a suspected drink driver crashed into her vehicle.
The 64-year-old from Horney Common was driving a blue BMW on the A22 north of Nutley at Millbrook when it was involved in a crash with a red Landrover.
Emergency services were alerted at 10.20am on Tuesday (June 14) and closed the road.
East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service crews from Uckfield and Crowborough cut the woman free from the wreckage.
She was taken to Royal Sussex County Hospital by paramedics suffering from chest, head and limb injuries.
The other driver, a 39-year-old man from Croydon, was taken to Tunbridge Wells Hospital at Pembury with a hand injury.
He was later arrested on suspicion of drink driving and bailed until June 18.
PC Andy Smith from Sussex Police appealed for witnesses to come forward.
