A MAN has been bailed after a stabbing near a Brighton city centre supermarket.
The 36-year-old victim was found with a single stab wound to the chest outside Waitrose store in Western Road, Brighton on Monday (June 13).
South East Coast Ambulance Service sent two ambulance crews and an ambulance car to the scene to treat the victim.
He was taken to the Royal Sussex County Hospital, Brighton, in a serious condition.
However he has now been released.
The incident happened at 10.34am on Monday.
Officers arrested a 28-year-old man on suspicion of committing grievous bodily harm. He was bailed until next month.
It is believed the victim wad stabbed in Montpelier Road but found in nearby Western Road.
Witnesses are still being asked to contact Sussex Police by emailing 101@sussex.pnn.police.uk quoting serial 421 of June 13.
