A POPULAR resident’s memory will live on after his family made a generous donation to his care home.
A former resident at Fairdene Lodge, Micheal Benbow sadly passed away last year, but his legacy will live on.
After a donation a garden has been created to entice its 32 residents to make use of the outdoor space.
Over the past six months, Fairdene Lodge, in Walsingham Road, Hove, have created a village-style garden fully equipped with a tea room and mock shops including a sweet shop, antiques shop and post office.
The former amateur boxer Irv Pascal has painted all the outbuildings to complete the look.
Fairdene Lodge caters for older people, those living with dementia and people with mental health issues including those detained under the Mental Health Act.
The home aims to offer skilled care to treat all people who live, work and visit the home with respect at all times.
