CALLING all Snowdog hunters.

The Snowdogs by the Sea charity art trail is well into its second week and attracting thousands of fans.

The giant pooches are appearing in all sorts of places - including inside Churchill Square Shopping Centre, outside restaurant Donatello, and by Brighton and Hove High School.

But on your quest to find them all, have you discovered The Argus Newshound at Brighton Railway Station?

When you do, be sure to enter our competition to win a fabulous deluxe family Christmas hamper.

Simply unlock the special offer by using the trail app.

Download it at snowdogsbythesea.co.uk or search for 'Snowdogs by the Sea' on the App Store or Google Play. It works on iPhone and Android. Each giant dog has a QR code to scan and unlock.

Once the app registers you have found Newshound, select the awards tab and follow the instructions to enter our competition to win the hamper, sponsored by Choccywoccydoodah and Snowdog by the Sea arts trail organisers Wild In Art.

It will include all sorts of tasty, chocolate delights from the Brighton store and four miniature Snowdog figurines of all different designs which make perfect gifts.

They retail at £35 and owners can register them with a collectors club to get special offers and discounts. The designs to be won include the classic Snowdog and Winter Lily – which both appear on the trail. The other two designs are a surprise for the winner.

The classic Snowdog design is from the film The Snowman and the Snowdog.

In the story young Billy creates the Snowdog in memory of his late four-legged companion. Coming to life in the night, the Snowdog symbolises comfort, precious company and treasured memories. He is a natural to help the Martlets hospice.

Winter Lily, which features on the trail by Queen's Park, has plum calla lilly flowers and purple crocuses in her design. Artists Sarah Jane Richards selected these plants for their contrasting yet complimentary colours and shapes, and their winter feel.

The hamper also includes a £25 Mark and Spencer voucher, bottles of wine, Christmas biscuits and other goodies as well as a year's subscription to The Argus.

You can take part in the trail until November 27.

There are 43 giant, individually decorated Snowdogs to be found around the city, a 44th at London Victoria Railway Station, one huge sand sculpture, and 22 Snowpuppies in museums and libraries.

There are prizes to be won and special offers available when you find each dog. This includes a chance to win a festive family weekend in Brighton.

The Argus is the official media partner for the Wild In Art-run project in aid of The Martlets hospice.
